Research Report: China’s GHG Emission Peak in 2030 Estimated at 11 Billion Tonnes

14 April 2016 – The State Information Center of China (SICC), an auxiliary institution under NDRC, has recently released a report titled “Impacts of Carbon Price on China’s Energy and Climate Policies”. This report estimated China’s emission peak in 2030 to be at around 11 billion tons, it also analyzed the impacts of carbon price on China.

Additionally, a report prepared by China Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), an auxiliary institution under State Council, issued a report titled “China Energy Outlook (2015-2016)”, which also released a emission estimation for 2030, which were calculated at approximately 11 billion.
