MEE publishes a notice on emissions data collection for the year 2018

January 17, 2019 – The Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) published a notice on the emissions data collection for the year 2018. The notice, like in past years, includes companies that emit more than 26,000 t CO2 per year and are part of the eight sectors that will be included in the national ETS: construction materials, iron and steel, non-ferrous metals, petrochemicals, chemical, pulp and paper, and aviation. Emissions from captive power plants from sectors not included in the list also need to be reported. By March 31, 2019, an emission report and monitoring plan are to be submitted to the local government for third-party verification. By May 31, 2019, all verified data is to be submitted to the MEE and its Department of Climate Change
