China Published 13th Five Year Plan Work Program for Controlling GHG Emissions

06 November 2016 – The 13th FYP work program for controlling GHG emissions issued by the State Council states that by 2020, the carbon emissions per unit of GDP will decrease by 18% in comparison to 2015. By 2020 with the launch and implementation of a national ETS in China, the total energy consumption will be controlled to less than 5 billion tons of standard coal, whereas the total coal consumption will be around 4.2 billion tons.
