China Carbon Market 100 Index Released at Green Finance Forum in Guangzhou

26 June 2017 – Developed by the Institute for Finance and Economics Research of Central University of Finance Economics, the Carbon Market 100 Index is a tool to evaluate the ability for green development of companies that will be covered by the national ETS. The index takes into account each company’s emission allowance trading volume, compliance situation, green bonds as well as other green finance products. The index is supposed to improve enterprises’ environmental information disclosure and help companies to attract investors with a good index. Starting from July 2017, Green Weekly, a news column of, will publish the Carbon Market 100 Index Weekly Trend Chart every Wednesday in a joint effort with the Guangdong Emissions Exchange.
