Guangdong Province begins Verification of Enterprises that are intended to be covered by National ETS

7 November 2017 – The Guangdong Development Reform Commission (DRC) issued a notice on the verification of enterprises that are intended to be covered by the national emissions trading system (ETS). This includes enterprises from the power, cement and electrolytic aluminum industries with total energy consumption of 10,000 tonnes coal equivalent during the time span of 2013 to 2015. According to the notice, the enterprises are required to submit their data on greenhouse gas emissions for the year 2016 before the 24^th of November, which will then be verified and evaluated by the DRC until the end of December.
